Welcome to the Delaware Community School Corporation, a shining star in East Central Indiana. Del-Com operates five schools: Delta High School, Delta Middle School, and Albany, Eaton, and Royerton elementary schools. The district serves 2,630 students and their families.
Del-Com's roots date back to June 1967 as the Delaware Metropolitan School District was formed when DeSoto, Eaton, and Royerton high schools consolidated to create Delta High School (housed in the former Royerton High School building). Albany High School then joined the district in 1968 but its students did not join the already crowded Delta High School until a new building could be constructed. During the 1973 school year, the district changed its name to the Delaware Community School Corporation. In September 1974, the new Delta High School opened with students from Albany also attending.
Mr. Reece A. Mann serves as superintendent. Dr. Darin Gullion is assistant superintendent.
