Donors Help Save Lives in Delta HS Blood Drive
Posted on 03/11/2020
Blood DriveThe annual National Honor Society Spring Blood Drive at Delta High School was a win-win proposition for all involved.

The American Red Cross drive, which was conducted on Tuesday, March 10, resulted in 41 units collected from 44 donors.  Included in that total were 18 first-time donors, many of whom are likely to become regular donors throughout their lifetime.

The American Red Cross estimates that each unit of blood contributes to helping save the life of three people.  Using that formula, the latest blood drive helped save an estimated 123 lives.

Thank you to all who participated in the blood drive as a volunteer or donor.  The DHS National Honor Society conducts blood drives each fall and spring.  Look for information this fall about your next chance to donate.
