Purdue University men's basketball coach Matt Painter, a 1989 Delta HS graduate, will be the keynote speaker.  The 38-year-old Painter was chosen Big Ten Coach of the Year last season and was a finalist for National Coach of the Year. He will discuss the impact of Delta athletics in his life.

Gym Bleachers
Under Construction

Construction is almost finished on the lower section of bleachers. The picture above was taken Friday, September 5, 2008. The upper section will be completed later in the fall. Now that the lower section is close to being done, volleyball matches will resume in the main gym.  Before, volleyball matches were being played in the auxiliary gym.

The work is being done by Hussey Seating of Terre Haute.  The old bleachers were worn out and did not meet compliance guidelines for accessibility.  The new molded plastic bleachers are navy and will feature a gold DHS on the upper section.

We will lose about 500 seats in capacity due to the new bleachers.

Psychology Class
Studies Human Mind

This week was all about brains in Mr. Biff Wilson's psychology classes. The students were asked to make model brains for their presentations on Tuesday and Wednesday. For unlucky assistant principal Mr. Tom Johns, his head was the model for one of the student projects.
